What is Shilajit?
What is Shilajit?
Shilajit is an ancient herbal substance that contains more
than 85 minerals and trace elements that the human body needs to function
optimally and fulvic acid, which helps the body absorb these minerals at the
cellular level. Shilajit has been consumed in Asia for thousands of years as a
dietary supplement because of the many benefits it offers.
How is it done
For millions of years, plants and organic matter were
captured by layers of rock in the mountainous regions of India and Tibet. The
pressure of the weight of the mountains and the extreme temperature changes
cause the plants to turn into a rich mineral mass that flows from the rocks.
This is shilajit.
Are there different types?
Purity and potency depend on the location and height of the
Shilajit, the purification techniques used and, most importantly, the quality
of the Shilajit.
Very few people, outside the areas where they are collected,
are aware that there are in fact four different qualities of shilajit. It is
only considered that the highest rating (Gold rating) has all the legendary
features that are read on. When one of the four classes of shilajit is
purified, the result will be a resin that looks like black tar.
To identify the original shilajit, one must first see the
color and type of rock in which the shilajit is found before it is purified.
The most effective Shilajit comes from the highest points of the Himalayas,
about 16,000 to 18,000 feet above sea level, where we get our Shilajit at Lotus
Blooming Herbs. The highest figure can be found in the red / gold rock on the
photo.
Because we personally travel to the source and deal directly
with the indigenous people who have been collecting shilajit by hand for centuries,
we can only select Shilajit of the highest rank. We are the only source of
authentic gold class shilajit outside the areas where it is collected. View our
blog to view photos and stories from our trip.
How does it work?
The minerals in shilajit are in ionic form, which means that
the body can absorb them more easily and move them to areas where the minerals
are needed for cell growth and maintenance. In Ayurveda it is believed that the
golden quality shilajit is a rasayana or rejuvenation substance. It is believed
that Ayurvedic medicine Shilajit has the unique ability to bring the essence to
any tissue system (dhatu). For example, the essence of the muscle (mamsa) is to
shape, the essence of the blood (rakta) is to bring life, and the essence of the
marrow / nervous system (maja) is to give knowledge.
How do i take it
To consume, easily dissolve in hot water, not chlorinated,
tea or warm milk and drink. Alternatively, one can dissolve under the tongue or
simply swallow a portion if the taste is too unpleasant. We recommend starting
with a portion the size of rice to pea, one to three times a day for general
well-being. You can increase the amount for more energy and effect.
